Gone Rose Petals

Gone rose petals

red and blew
away to the winds
floating on this river:
Denial.

Burned destiny
scorched memories
moral blindness
into blackened pits:
Abyss.

Tumbled melodies
bring rise to this new song
no need for my forgiveness
for you to move along:
Gone.

Do not tell me what you did
knowledge is power and I need to remain
like rose petals, red, dead, and blew
away into time and eternal winds:
Powerless.

I've been faking it as a writer for more than 30 years. Keep that low.
