Sand Castles Wash Away

Sand Castles Wash Away

Like sand castles wash away

Piss on dreams made of clay

Liars lying everyday

Into the brightness they pretend

With splinters in crosses wooden blend

Stuck deep within their swollen mire

Teaching children dreams we’d set afire

A fine display of sunken hope

We cope

We mope

All full of dope

We live the life

tongues sharp like knives

Into the darkened cave of lies

Into this darkness

Like sand castles wash away

Piss on dreams made of clay

I asked my daddy one day

But he died yet left me memories

of sand castles

As we try to cope

We mope

We hope

All full of dope –

wasted away

Like an extinct planet I lived on once

Piss on dreams made of clay
